What This Portfolio Optimizes For
A short note on the thread running through the work: applied machine learning, with systems depth close behind.
Machine learning is the center of the story
The main work here is applied machine learning: NLP for training-needs analysis, anomaly detection for aircraft health monitoring, and large-scale classification work for intrusion detection.
That is the center of the portfolio. The web and embedded work matter most when they sharpen or deliver the ML system.
Why the surrounding systems still matter
The model is only one part of the job. FastAPI, Django, React, and Next.js matter because they turn technical work into tools that other people can actually use.
Embedded systems work on LORIS matters for a different reason: it sharpens reliability, protocol work, testing, and the habit of designing around constraints.
What that means for the site
- The most visible projects combine modeling, data, and system design.
- Embedded and web work stay close because they explain how the supporting software gets built.
- The writing stays small until there is something specific and useful to say.
